For this workday, volunteers assisted with clearing the garden plots to prepare for cover crops, preparing to level the soil for improved irrigation, collecting tree trimmings, and cleaning up debris along the Rio Grande riving. Community members gather to enjoy the bounty of the harvest with local food and live music, then attend an open house for the master plan for the projects future development!

Meet us at the Rio Grande Farm park this Sunday at 11:30 AM for a fun storytime! This week's theme is ANIMALS. We will read stories in English and Spanish, talk about our favorite animals, and do fun animal activities! Every kid goes home with a free book thanks to the Friends of the Alamosa Public Library. Great for kids 2-10, but people of all ages will enjoy the this fun event.
