Adopt A Project:

Would you like to step up and help with regular care and maintenance of one of the many wonderful, ongoing projects at the Farm Park?

We need your help to care for this community space! The .pdf below lays out some examples of the type of projects we need assistance with, how often, and what type of work can be expected when you sign on.

All abilities and skills are welcome, especially:

  • Landscaping knowledge
  • Woodworking skills
  • Gardening ability
  • Farming experience
  • A willingness to have fun!

Please contact Ally Arnold at 509-499-0105 or allyjean.slvlocalfoods@gmail.com for more information.

Existing volunteers: Please track your volunteer hours using this Google Form as you go, or send a list of your hours to the email listed above. We appreciate your help!!

Volunteer Work Days:

Volunteers building strawberry beds at August 2020 Work Day
Volunteers creating compost pile at September 2020 Work Day

All are welcome and appreciated at our monthly workdays.  They are usually held the last Saturday of each month, weather permitting, but you should check Facebook for the latest information. Typically, they start at 9am and last until noon.  We’d love to see you — stay for a bit, or for the entire morning!

Sign up for the SLV Local Foods Coalition and Rio Grande Farm Park Mailing Lists to receive newsletters and information about upcoming Volunteer Work Days and other events.

If you’d like, download a Volunteer Application Form and contact Kris Steinberg at steinbergk@vwhs.org  if you have specific interests.
