The San Luis Valley Local Foods Coalition hosts “LOCAL” toward the end of the summer season. The celebration brings the community together to show gratitude for the farmers and land: the source of the bountiful array of foods in the San Luis Valley. We welcome people from all walks of life: locals and visitors, community organizations, children, and anyone with a passion for local foods. Each year, the celebration looks a little different, but it always highlights the unique cultural richness of the valley in some way. Music, art, food, and dancing transform the beautiful setting of the Rio Grande Farm Park from a quiet landscape to a bustling party.
