“We have to support our local artists. It's just that simple. Otherwise, we will have no art.” Al Jourgensen
Our latest art project was by Creative Generations. The NEA and Arts in Society funded Creative Generations. Teaching artist Eric Dallimore and Think360 education director Jason Diminich worked with local artist Nora McBride, Boys and Girls Club director Aaron Miltenberger, and technology teacher Garrett Pearson to develop and create a public art piece that celebrates the San Luis Valley and intergenerational and community connections. The piece was installed at the Rio Grande Farm Park in Alamosa. It includes seven murals depicting different aspects of the San Luis Valley, two of which represent the communities of the Farm Park and the Boys and Girls Club of the San Luis Valley. The piece includes two large chalkboard panels intended for anyone to leave drawings, poems, and stories.
