What started out as a farm stand with a few farmers has grown into a thriving market with fresh, organic produce grown right on the property. Our community farmers are joined by local artists, musicians, performers, and makers.

How does it work?

Shop with your Colorado EBT card at Mercadillo en el Rio. Bring your Colorado EBT card to the farmers market info booth before you shop. Market staff will be there to help.

Buy SNAP-eligible foods at the market with your SNAP dollars.

We’ll match what you spend with Double Up Food Bucks—up to $20 a day. Use them right away or later on to buy fresh Colorado-grown fruits & vegetables.

(on highway 17 across from the Loaf’n Jug in Alamosa — across the walking bridge from Cole Park)

Market Dates: Every Wednesday July 17th through October 2nd 2024 (Weather Pending)

Payment methods vary by vendor. Cash is preferred. Available payment methods: cash, card, Venmo, CashApp

Cash is available at the info booth for a small fee.

  • CaRi started the SLV Apothecary in Alamosa, CO that sells local goods & herbs she and others have grown at Rio Grande Farm Park, including: mint, chamomile, yarrow, marshmallow, catmint, monarda, and more.

  • You can find various flowers at CaRi’s booth. Some veggies may include kale, radishes, and arugula if they’re ready.

  • Dried herbs, tea blends, tinctures, and more will be available.
